The Spiral Year

A Living Year of Story, Memory, and Return

It’s said that there are years that ask questions, and years that answer them.

Some years are a mix of both. In these one, we usually move in spirals.

Return to Wild was never just a book club in the casual sense. With Spiral year, we return for a year-long immersion into literature as initiation - a slow turning through nine powerful works of fiction that ask us to remember who we are, where we come from, and what we are here to tend.

We begin on March 21, at the threshold of the equinox, a day of balance and of becoming.

From there, we move together in rhythm.

Why a Spiral?

Instead of rushing forward, a spiral moves intentionally.

It circles.
It deepens.
It returns to the same place, but with new eyes.

In this sense,

each book becomes a threshold, and each gathering becomes a remembering.

We will read with our hearts, so that we can listen - to the stories, to ourselves, and to one another.

Across the year, themes of-

roots and rupture, exile and belonging, inheritance and choice, grief and wild return

- will surface again and again.

This is literature as mirror.

Stories as medicine.

Story as Myth.

We move through three gates across the year.

ROOTS & RUPTURE

Remembering where we come from

Ancestry, memory, grief, belonging, and fracture.

We begin in the soil, in the stories beneath our feet.

BECOMING HUMAN (in a more-than-human world)

Remembering we belong to a living world

A shift from separation into kinship.

We explore interbeing, ecology, and the humility of relationship.

The Structure

The Spiral Year spans nine books across one full turning of the seasons.

For each book:

  • You will receive guided reflection prompts

  • Contextual threads to deepen your understanding

  • Invitations into lineage inquiry and personal memory

  • A live Opening Circle

  • A live Closing Circle

  • And one special Integration Circle to close the year

We gather twice per book. The first to open the field and orient to the themes. The second to harvest what the story has stirred.

Sessions are held every other Saturday, creating a steady, spacious rhythm that allows the work to breathe.

What We Will Tend

Over the course of the year, you will:

  • Walk intimately with nine works of literature

  • Explore your own inheritance and interior landscape

  • Practice deep listening in community

  • Hold space for grief, complexity, and contradiction

  • Clarify what “returning to the wild” means in your own life

  • Strengthen your capacity to sit with discomfort without rushing toward resolution

Who This Is For

This space is for women who:

  • Long for deeper conversations than surface commentary

  • Feel stirred by story but rarely have space to process it

  • Are navigating identity, motherhood, lineage, creativity, or transition

  • Sense that literature can be a portal, not just entertainment

  • Want community that is thoughtful, slow, and real

The Commitment

This is a full-year container.

You do not need to attend every session live. Replays will be available, but the power of this space lives in participation and presence, and you are warmly invited to participate fully.

Come willing to read, reflect, and make friends.
Come willing to be honest.

Investment

PHP 6,666 for the full year, for you and a friend.

That is nine books, nineteen live circles, and a year of shared inquiry.
