Ecology & The Wild Feminine

who we are

Wild Woman Rising is a nature-rooted storytelling platform and women’s community devoted to the remembrance of the instinctual feminine. We create spaces—both virtual and embodied—where women come home to themselves through mythology, ecological awareness, embodiment practices, and soul-deep conversation.

Founded by writer and ecologist Nikki Lizares, our gatherings include online circles, retreats in nature, and creative studies of myth and memory. We believe in the quiet power of inner transformation, in the wild intelligence of the body, and in reclaiming ancestral wisdom as a path toward personal and planetary healing.

To learn the ways of Wild Woman is to learn to discern when to plant, when to harvest, and when to rest; when and how to flow with one’s grief, channel one’s passion or anger, or when to unleash joy.

Most of all, to rise as Wild Woman is to nurture a healthy curiosity and deep compassion towards all creatures and beings we come across.

what we do

We are weaving a network of embodied women—rooted, luminous, and alive to the pulse of the world—who are reclaiming their truths and tending a more just, harmonious, and earth-honoring future.

Our gatherings are thresholds—spaces where women are gently guided to walk the edges of their own becoming. Whether in circle, workshop, or retreat, we journey across both inner and outer terrains through self-inquiry, reflection, and the ancient art of story.

Here, we tend the threads that connect the rise of the divine feminine with the healing of land, lineage, and life. We honor the sacred ties between women’s wisdom, ecological kinship, and our collective role in the slow work of community care, climate justice, and soulful resistance.

PATH OF THE WOLF WOMAN:

A Journey Through Wild Myth & Memory

Our flagship program inspired by Women Who Run with the Wolves. Through story, archetype, and sisterhood, we remember the wild feminine buried beneath layers of silence and forgetting. Each week, we gather in live circles to explore one tale, reflect on its teachings, and reclaim our instinctual knowing.

This is a space for women in seasons of transition, longing, and becoming.

A sacred return to soul, story, and the untamed self.

HOMECOMING: WOMEN’S RETREAT

Homecoming is an intimate in-person retreat where women gather to reconnect with the elemental—earth, body, soul, and story. Held in sacred spaces across the Philippines, these weekends are invitations to slow down, remember, and return to the rhythm of the inner wild.

Upcoming: Homecoming — Return to the Tidal Mother
December 6–8, 2024

RETURN TO WILD BOOK CLUB

More than a book club, Return to Wild is a space of symbolic excavation. Here, we read with the soul—exploring archetypes, images, and myths that mirror our inner landscapes. Through story and shared inquiry, we trace the sacred patterns that guide our growth, questions, and becoming.

This is where myth meets modern life, and women gather to witness, unravel, and reweave their stories together.
